NEW YORK - The dramatic comedy "Superior Donuts" closes the store on Broadway. Producer Jeffrey Richards said the show will bow to 3 January after a stroke three months. The play stars Michael McKean as the owner of a decrepit donut shop in Chicago, and Jon Michael Hill as a young employee who wants to revive the dwindling activity again. It premiered at the Steppenwolf Theater Company in Chicago in 2008. The author of the show, Tracy Letts, also wrote the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning "August: Osage County," which has lasted for more than 600 performances on Broadway and now on a national tour.
