DMX back in jail for alleged violation of probation
PHOENIX - Authorities in Arizona say rapper DMX has been an alleged violation of his probation arrested with drugs. DMX, whose real name has Earl Simmons, served about half of the 18 months supervised probation when he was booked Tuesday night in downtown Phoenix jail. The rapper was released from prison May after serving a sentence of 90 days for felony convictions, including animal cruelty, theft and two points of drug use. Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio said his deputies arrested Simmons five times today, including a raid on the rapper 2007 August home north of Phoenix, where they have been neglecting 12 dogs, three dogs buried, drugs and weapons caches. Simmons guilty in December to end animal cruelty, theft and two points of drug use.
