Brendan Gleeson joins "The Guard"

LONDON (AP) - Brendan Gleeson, together with "Ned Kelly" screenwriter John Michael McDonagh in the play "The McDonagh's Guard", an Irish-set comedy thriller also Starring Don Cheadle, Mark Strong and Liam Cunningham. Turning up Ireland, the film follows the story of an Irish policeman Orthodox (Gleeson), the forces with an FBI agent collar (Cheadle) on a gang of international drug smuggling character. Gleeson made as shown to an officer in a small town with a personality conflict, a sense of subversive humor, a dying mother, a fondness for prostitutes and no interest in the international cocaine-smuggling ring, the FBI officer Wendell Everett on his door. Written and directed by McDonagh, directed, film stars and Fionnuala Flanagan, David Wilmot, Rory Keenan, Pat Shortt and newcomer Katarina Cas. (Editing by SheriLinden AOF)
